Managing Your Control Panel License Keys

You can manage your Control Panel license keys through the COBRA Portal. You can also access some license key information directly through the Control Panel. This article explains how to locate your license keys through the Portal and Control Panel, and the available actions at each location.

Accessing your license keys through the COBRA Portal

Log into the COBRA Portal at portal.cobrafiringsystems.com and navigate to Subscriptions.

If you aren't able to find your Control Panel key when logging in, please reach out. The COBRA Support Team will be happy to help locate your key, and link it to your COBRA Portal Account.

License key actions through the COBRA Portal

Assign a nickname

You can use the nickname feature to help you keep track of which license key is activated on each device. For example, you can nickname a key to name it after the make and model of tablet it's activated on. You can change the key's nickname at any time.

To add or edit a nickname, click on the pencil icon.

Type the new nickname, and then click Name license key.

Reset a license key

If you need to perform a factory reset on your tablet, or if you've acquired a new device, you can request to reset the activation code for the Control Panel. This will allow you to activate the Control Panel software on your device.

For more information on the reset process, please see How to Reset Your COBRA Control Panel Activation Code.

Note: while your license key can be reset to be activated on a new device, the license cannot be transferred to a different email address or another user. For more information, please see Is my COBRA Control Panel license transferable?
