Version 12.273 of the COBRA Control Panel Gen 2 app delivers new communication features, improved system reliability, and targeted bug fixes based on user feedback and crash reports. This update focuses on enhancing both performance and user experience during show operations.

New Features

  • Critical Patch Notifications
    Added a notification system to communicate important patches or urgent updates directly within the app.

  • Wi-Fi Connection Loss Notice
    A new alert notifies you if your device loses Wi-Fi connectivity, helping ensure uninterrupted show control when using internet connected services like PyroCast.

  • Latest Android SDK Compliance
    Updated to target the latest Android SDK for improved security, compatibility, and support for newer devices.

  • UI Enhancements
    Addressed various random interface glitches to create a smoother and more consistent user experience.

  • Code Optimization
    We cleaned up and reorganized the app’s background code so it works better and is easier to maintain.

Bug Fixes

  • Show Control Reliability
    Fixed issues where:

    • Random Show would stop unexpectedly when navigating back to previous screens.

    • Pyrocast shows would fail to start when running a script from the 18R2 a second time.

    • Shows in Show Controls would stop or restart unexpectedly when moving between the Device List or Settings screens.

    • Random Show screen would not function without a script loaded.

  • Crash Fixes
    Addressed multiple crash scenarios reported from a range of devices including Samsung, Lenovo, Asus, and Xiaomi models.

  • Regression Issues
    Corrected various issues identified during regression testing.

How to Update

  1. Open the COBRA Control Panel Gen 2 page in the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap Update if available.
