Whether you're upgrading from the Gen 1 COBRA Control Panel, or moving your license key from one tablet to another, this document will guide you through the process to ensure the process goes smoothly so you can enjoy the features included in the Gen 2 Control Panel.
Step 1: Connect your 18R2 / Command Center to your tablet.
Connect your 18R2 or Command Center to your tablet:
- Install the COBRA Gen 2 Control Panel
- Once installed, go to the home page, you won't need to manually open the Control Panel app.
- Connect your tablet to your 18R2/Command Center using your OTG Harness.
- Upon successfully connecting, your tablet should either automatically open the Gen 2 Control Panel, or, it will prompt you to launch the Control Panel app.
- You should now be connected to the COBRA Gen 2 Control Panel and see the Device List below:
Step 2: Open Show Controls.
The Device List doesn't require a license to use, however, to access Show Controls, you'll be presented with a green Login to COBRA Portal to Activate button. Tap this to open a Chrome window to login.
Step 3: Log into COBRA Portal.
After tapping the green Login to COBRA Portal to Activate button, a Chrome window will open where you can enter your account details.
Step 4: Access license keys.
Once logged in, the Chrome window will close and you'll be brought back to Control Panel Gen 2. From here, tap on the green Access License Keys button to open Chrome again and view your keys.
Step 5: Select a license key.
From here, you'll see all License Keys available for activation. Tap on Activate next to the key you'd like to assign to your tablet. If the key you want to use is already activated, tap Reset Device to free the key up from its assigned device.
Step 6: Confirm activation.
Once activated, you will briefly see a Device is Activated message at the bottom of the screen, and you'll have full access to the rest of the features in the Control Panel Gen 2 app.
