The COBRA Control Panel version 12.2 includes an exciting number of new features including a random show generator, Pyrocast integration, position reporting, remote channel changing, and more.
- Random Shows - Perfect for small shows that require a quick script for a set duration. Simply assign product to modules, set a show duration and a show is created instantly in seconds. You can also re-order cues manually to fine tune any elements of the show.
Pyrocast Integration - You can now enter your 4-digit show code into the Control Panel. Make sure your COBRA Portal login for the Control Panel matches the email address associated to the Pyrocast account who either owns or has collaborator access to the show. Once authenticated, the playing, pausing or stopping of the show will automatically control the audio on Pyrocast. Note that Pyrocast has +/- 10ms accuracy on iOS and +/- 40ms timing accuracy on Android.
Importance of Dry Running your Show when using PyroCast with Control Panel
Make sure to always dry-run your Pyrocast shows to confirm your Control Panel has access and starts the show properly
- Manual Firing Product Assignment - You can now manage your own products in the Control Panel and assign them to module channels and cues. This feature used to exist in the COBRA Control Panel Gen 1 and is now available in the current Gen 2 version.
- Module by Position View - A new view is available from the Device List section to the right of the Continuity view called Position. This view allows you to see module information such as address, signal, power, arm status and continuity by position.
- Ability to Re-name and Re-order Quickfire Scripts - Within the Quickfire Script section of Show Controls you can now re-name and re-order the position of Quickfire scripts as they appear in the main Quickfire script UI.
- Sorting Devices - You can now sort devices by address, channel, and key position in the Devices view in Device List.
- Script Play Button Re-colored for Timecode Shows - With timecode shows such as SMPTE, the show won't start immediately when pressing the play button. Instead, a timecode feed is required to start the show. To help make this clearer to the end user, the below yellow button is displayed that better indicates this will pause the show when started vs. a green button which indicates the show may start immediately.
- Condensed Same Time Script Events - Using the new Merge Same Time Events in Show Controls setting, same time script events are condensed into a single row in the Show Controls section. This reduces the overall number of rows for larger rapid fire shows across multiple positions.
- Manage License Keys Button - A new Manage License Keys button is now available at the top of the Settings section. Tapping the button will take you to the COBRA Portal license key management interface.
