Starting in version 1.5.1 COBRA Show Creator offers an Inventory Management Upgrade to handle tracking firework quantities from storage to the shoot site. Integrated directly into COBRA Show Creator and COBRA Portal users can manage their inventory effortlessly while scripting shows.
NOTE: To take advantage of the new inventory upgrade, add the inventory management upgrade to your COBRA Portal account. While the inventory upgrade is in BETA, it will be offered to testers for free and will become a nominal paid upgrade once released.
Getting Started
The best way to get started utilizing inventory management is to update existing fireworks or create new ones. If starting from scratch, the bulk import/edit feature allows for quick and easy creation of fireworks. When bulk importing fireworks include a column labeled “inital_inventory_level” to set the initial inventory quantity level for each firework. Alternatively, if selecting multiple existing fireworks from the COBRA Portal inventory section and adjusting their inventory levels, an inventory level can be manually set or a .CSV file can be uploaded to fill in the inventory levels.
COBRA Portal Integration
COBRA Portal allows for quick access to view and manage inventory. From the inventory section, view the inventory levels of each firework with the ability to open a detailed view to see which shows it is used on and the transactions that have taken place.
The shows section in COBRA Portal offers a detailed view to see which and how many of particular fireworks are used on that show.
Show Status
A show's status drives the inventory management lifecycle in COBRA Show Creator and COBRA Portal. Change the show status from the Show Details section in COBRA Show Creator or from the show detail view in COBRA Portal as the show moves through from designing to fired. Linked Fireworks in Shows
To track the inventory of fireworks, link a firework to an event in COBRA Show Creator. The Event Description cell will have a blue triangle in the bottom right corner if it is linked to a firework. Unlink a firework from an event by changing the event description, or by right-clicking on the event row and choosing Unlink Firework. Unlinking a firework from an event or deleting the event will free any inventory that was assigned to the current show.
New My Firework Section Inventory Columns
A new Available Inventory and Qty in Show column has been added to the My Fireworks section to assist while scripting shows. These new columns can be added by using the plus icon in the top left of the My Fireworks section firework list. The Available Inventory column shows the quantity of that firework that is in inventory and not currently assigned to any other shows, while the Qty in Show column shows how many of that firework is used in the currently opened show.
