A show's status controls how inventory is handled for a show, as well as being a helpful status to keep track of where your show is at in the show's lifecycle. A show can have 6 possible statuses; Designing, Reserved, Assigned, Picking, Packed, Fired, and Canceled. Below you will find what each status is used for and how it affects your show.
Designing
At this stage, you are merely planning your firework show. No inventory is set aside or committed for this design. This is an ideal option if you want to create a show layout without affecting the availability of your firework inventory.
Reserved
When you select this option, you are tentatively committing inventory to your show. The chosen inventory will be marked as 'Reserved' and set aside for this particular show. This reservation is not firm, and you can revert to the 'Designing' stage at any time, which will release the reserved items back into general inventory.
Assigned
This is a more definitive step, marking a firm commitment to use the selected inventory for your show. Once items are 'Assigned,' they are earmarked specifically for your show. However, you can still move back to 'Reserved' or 'Designing' stages if necessary, which will free up the assigned inventory.
Packed
The chosen inventory has been picked, packaged, and is ready for use in the show. This status confirms that your show inventory is set and prepared for firing.
Fired
This option signifies that your firework show has taken place and the inventory for this show has been used. Select this once your show is successfully completed.
Cancelled
This status is used when you decide not to proceed with the show. If you choose this, the inventory previously reserved or assigned for this show will be released and made available for other uses. Use this if you no longer intend to go ahead with the planned firework show.
Changing a show's status
You can change a show's status by opening the show in COBRA Show Creator and then using the details tab in the right-side panel you can use the status dropdown to select the new status. You do not have to go in the show lifecycle order that is listed in the dropdown. Once the new status is selected, save your show. This will make any necessary adjustments to the show's inventory based on what the show's previous status was and its new one.
In addition, to changing the status in COBRA Show Creator, you can also open the show up in COBRA Portal and use the status dropdown to select the new status. This will show a confirmation, click Yes to save the status change. Just like in COBRA Show Creator, after the status has been successfully changed, any necessary adjustments to the show's inventory based on the previous status and the show's new status will be made.
