Talon/Clip-On Igniter and E-match Mode

You can assign modules to either Talon/Clip-on Igniter or E-match mode. The primary difference between Talon/Clip-on Igniter and E-match mode is the length of firing time. Talon/Clip-on Igniter mode will fire for two seconds when issued a firing command; E-match mode will fire for 1/10th of a second when issued a firing command. By default, COBRA ships modules in E-match mode. If you are using Talons/Clip-on Igniters, make sure to change the module to Talon/Clip-on Igniter mode. When switching modes, the module will not forget the mode you set even if powered off or if the batteries are removed.

You can fire both Talons/Clip-on Igniters and E-Match/MJG Initiators with some caveats; see Can I fire E-match/MJG Initiators/Talons/Clip-On Igniters on the same module? for more information.

To change a module to Talon/Clip-on Igniter mode, press SYNC, and CH+ at the same time. 2.0 will display on the module momentarily, indicating the mode change was successful.

To change a module to E-match mode, press SYNC and CH- at the same time. 0.1 will display on the module momentarily, indicating the mode change was successful.
