The 36M and 72M modules use a top-mounted charge port that is compatible only with COBRA LiPo chargers. Using third-party chargers may result in reduced battery performance or damage.
COBRA offers three charger options:
- Single-bay charger – Charges one module at a time. Compact and ideal for small setups.
- 5-bay charger – Charges up to five modules simultaneously from one outlet. Great for mid-sized shows.
- 10-bay charger – Charges up to ten modules at once. Ideal for large-scale events or permanent setups.
Multi-bay chargers reduce outlet usage and can be integrated into permanent charging stations for large COBRA module quantities.
Charging Instructions
- Plug the COBRA charger into the charge port on the module.
- The charger LED will blink red while charging and turn solid red when charging is complete.
- A full charge from 0% to 100% takes approximately 6 hours.
- Once fully charged, the charger will switch to a trickle mode, but it's recommended to unplug once charging is complete as outlined in COBRA's LiPo battery best practices.
Battery Storage and Maintenance
- Store LiPo batteries in a dry, climate-controlled area between 50°F and 85°F (10°C to 30°C).
- Before storing for long periods, fully charge the battery as recommended in COBRA’s LiPo best practices.
- If the battery will not be used for five months or more, disconnect it from the module.
- Inspect batteries annually for any signs of damage or swelling and contact COBRA Support if any issues are found.
Always follow COBRA’s LiPo battery best practices to ensure the safety, performance, and longevity of your equipment. For more details, see our full COBRA LiPo Battery Best Practices and Procedures.
