This hotfix (8.0.1) addresses a known issue in the 8.0.0 BETA firmware where certain modules could fail to download their show script and arm. On an affected module, you'll see its ARM LED turn red when you arm and the 18R2's ARM light keep blinking, never going solid.
IMPORTANT: This only applies to equipment running the 8.0.0 BETA firmware. If you do a normal dry run and all of your modules arm (the ARM light on your remote goes solid), you do not need this update. What was fixed
Modules affected by the 8.0.0 script-download issue now download their script and arm correctly.
Who needs this
Only customers on 8.0.0 who have a module that fails the dry-run check described in the known-issue article above. If your dry run arms cleanly, you do not need this specific hotfix. Since you are on the 8.0 BETA, we still recommend installing a future 8.0 BETA update when it is available — the permanent fix will be included there.
How to update
Apply the 8.0.1 update to both your 18R2 remote and your modules using either method below.
IMPORTANT: If a dry run shows an affected module, update all of your 36M/72M modules and your 18R2 remote to 8.0.1 — the remote and every module it fires must be on matching firmware, so updating just the affected module isn't enough.
Updating your 18R2 remote to 8.0.1 also covers your 18M modules — once your remote is on 8.0.1, your 18M is protected too, with no separate 18M update needed.
Option 1 — COBRA Reprogramming Software (CRS), recommended

Option 2 — Portal (older reprogramming software)
If you prefer the older Portal software, download the files at cobrafiringsystems.com/portal and select firmware version 8.0 from the list.
