What are COBRA Show Operator Features?
COBRA Show Operator (CSO) is designed to expand how you monitor, prepare, and run your fireworks shows. It works alongside your handheld COBRA remote, providing a powerful computer-based interface for enhanced visibility and control. CSO is being released in phases, starting with core tools and adding new features over time.
Current Features
During the BETA stage, CSO includes the following features:
- Device List: The Device List feature enables users to view and filter information regarding all devices, including continuity, power, signal, key position, and additional parameters. You further have the capability to create personalized views by selecting the specific information you wish to display and determining its presentation format. This functionality provides a robust user interface for device diagnostics prior to your event. - Custom Views: Organize information the way you need it by filtering, sorting, and grouping devices for quick access during setup and operation.
- Real-Time Monitoring while in Test mode: Instantly see changes to device status as you prepare or run a show, helping you identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Automatic Updates: CSO updates automatically through your browser and the COBRA agent automatically notifies you when an update is available so you always have the latest features.
Features Coming Soon
As development continues, more advanced tools will be added to CSO:
-
Show Controls and Pyrocast Integration: The Show Controls feature enables users to view and execute any scripts, including access to Quickfire scripts, which is particularly useful for firing multiple scripts during a show or performance. The Show Controls can initiate both pyro and DMX shows, with or without time code. Furthermore, as CSO is integrated with COBRA Show Creator, we will facilitate script editing and updates to your COBRA remote in accordance with any script modifications, even if the show was not originally created within the COBRA Show Creator platform.
This stage will also encompass integration with Pyrocast, which provides unlimited audio distribution points for both operators and audience members, ensuring precise split-second accuracy. - Manual Firing: The Manual Firing feature enables the user to initiate shows manually by selecting channels and activating cues. Furthermore, users have the option to utilize the COBRA Show Creator fireworks catalog to assign products to specific cues.
- Module and Position Disabling: The Disable Firing feature enables the deactivation of modules, positions, and groups of cues during the operation of the show.
- Random Show Generation: The Random Shows feature is ideally suited for small productions that necessitate a swift script for a predetermined duration. By simply assigning products to modules and specifying the duration of the show, a complete show can be generated in mere seconds. Additionally, cues can be manually reordered to refine any aspects of the production.
- COBRA Portal Integration and more: COBRA Show Operator is not merely a Windows or Mac application; it serves as a gateway into the COBRA ecosystem, which encompasses our COBRA Portal. By integrating the COBRA Show Operator with the COBRA Portal, we unlock a comprehensive catalog of internet-connected features, including an array of bi-directional communications and controls. The prospects for internet-connected functionalities are exceedingly promising.
Why Features are Released in Stages
Releasing features step-by-step allows COBRA to gather user feedback, improve performance, and ensure stability at each stage. This approach helps deliver a reliable and user-friendly experience as CSO grows into a comprehensive show management tool.
