What is continuity and how do I test it on my module or 18R2?

Continuity is the connection between the igniter and the cue on the firing module. A cue is the speaker terminal, Quick Plug, or port in which the igniters connect to the firing module. Confirming a connection between the igniter and the cue will ensure that your igniter receives the power needed to fire the attached product. The COBRA firing system tests for continuity by sending a small pulse of electricity through the igniter to verify resistance is present.

To test this on your controller, set the controller to the channel of the module you want to test. Green cues have continuity. To check this on your module, press and release the test button, and any cues that are green have continuity. For 36M or 72M modules, you can press the CHANGE BANK button to toggle between each bank and the associated channel.

Please see Continuity Clarified to learn more about series versus parallel wiring, types of shooting wire, and how these might impact the continuity of your COBRA system.
