COBRA Firmware Version 7.1.6 Release

The COBRA 7.1.6 release includes a fix to the 36M and 72M whereby if you power cycle the module while armed (both key switch and 18R2), the module will forget the script events and will not fire. This only applied to power cycling while armed. If the 18R2 was in TEST mode, this issue would not occur.

To update your 36Ms and 72Ms, please use the following steps:

  1. Download the attached 90M.s19 and 90MB.s19 files attached to this article.
  2. Place both files into the root direction of a USB drive.
  3. Insert USB drive into the 36M/72M while off.
  4. Hold SYNC and power on the. The LEDS will shift left and right as the firmware is updated.
  5. Once done, the unit will re-start and 7.1.6 will appear. Remove the USB drive.
  6. You can re-start the 36M/72M to re-confirm 7.1.6 appears.
  7. You are done and the patch has been successfully applied.
