We wanted to make you aware of a critical patch update for the 36M/72M hardware A units. An issue occurred which in some cases may corrupt the flash memory of the unit causing the unit to become inoperable.
This was caused by a newly updated development environment we were using which did not have support for some hardware A flash memory chips. In addition, this issue did not show up in regression testing due to the intermittent occurrence. We sincerely apologize for this and have swiftly resolved this issue. Please note this is not a limitation of hardware A, rather a flash ID configuration issue in the development environment.
The issue would be recognized by seeing the following on the display of the 36M or 72M.
Please also note that this only applies to 36M/72M Hardware A units. If your unit does not show Hardware-Ver-B below, then it's a hardware A unit.
