MJG Initiators Quality Notice
This notice pertains to MJG Initiators shipped from 9/25/23 to 7/18/24.
If you purchased MJG initiators outside this window or have already used your initiators with no issues, this notice does not apply to you.
Issue Description
We have identified a potential quality issue with certain batches of MJG initiators. On July 18th, MJG Technologies informed us that there may be a problem with the lacquer on the initiators, which could lead to cracks in the match head or, in some cases, the head breaking off entirely. This issue could impact the performance of the initiators. Upon discovering this issue, we immediately conducted a thorough inspection of our inventory and removed all affected batches from our warehouse.
What You Need to Know
- Issue Description: The affected MJG initiators may show visible cracks in the match head. In cases where the head is broken, chemical residue may be found in the packaging.
- Visual Inspection: While a visual inspection can help identify the issue, we understand that it may not be feasible for every customer to inspect each initiator. We recommend spot-checking any affected boxes and looking for cracked heads and loose residue in the bottom of the box.
