Extension cables allow you to place your device's antenna in a position that has an optimal line of sight. For example, in a stadium, the module may be behind a small barricade, and by using an extension cable, you can raise and mount the antenna so that the signal can transmit above the obstacle. We recommend using the shortest cable possible as the added length will cause some slight loss of signal. However, gaining a line of sight outweighs the minor loss you might experience.
How can extension cables help improve my signal strength?
