What is MESH, and how does it work?

Quality line-of-site (LOS) is an important consideration when placing your COBRA remote and firing modules for a show. However, when using our MESH technology, LOS is less critical as the firing modules and Audio Box act as individual wireless repeaters. The allure of MESH networking is that it works seamlessly and automatically with no operator setup as we have developed it as a part of our firmware 5.0.2 and higher. In a MESH network, the wireless signal can reach around trees, hills, and taller buildings.

COBRA’s modules and Audio Box, when using firmware versions 5.0.2 and higher have been produced to select the optimum path between each device with no single device being dependent on any other. If the path to one is not the best, the data will immediately be redirected to the next module establishing the fastest, most reliable connection possible between your COBRA devices.
