Yes, the 6M does have an option to turn off the module display backlight. To do so, follow the directions outlined in this support guide.
- Press and release the 6M LIGHT button to turn off the 7-segment display screen and dim the TEST/ARM LEDs.
- Hold the LIGHT button for three seconds to turn off all displays, including the 7-segment display screen and all keypad LED.
You can then press the light button to restore the backlight to the modules display. Also, rebooting the module will put the display backlight to its original state.
