My module displays P, what is this?

Seeing a (P) on your firing module or controller indicates that your device is in program mode. Program mode is used for syncing or updating firmware. To enter program mode, power on any module and allow it to boot up fully. Once the channel displays, you can press and hold SYNC until P displays.

The 18M and 6M firing modules have the ability to boot directly into program mode. To quick boot into program mode on your 18M or 6M you can hold SYNC and power on the module at the same time. Your module will boot directly into program mode. To remove a module from program mode, you can power the unit off and back on and allow it to boot up normally.

To exit program mode turn off your device and turn it back on. Your COBRA device will now boot following the standard boot process.
