COBRA Show Creator Stuck “Creating Waveform”

Sometimes COBRA Show Creator can get stuck while generating a waveform for your show. This will happen when your web browser relies on cached data instead of downloading the latest updates from the server. By clearing or refreshing this cache, you can force the software to load the newest version and fix the waveform issue.

Important Note:
Clearing your cache may log you out of COBRA Show Creator. If you’ve made changes to a show offline, make sure you’ve recently opened COBRA Show Creator while connected to the internet so that all changes have synced to the cloud.

Option 1: Hard Refresh

  • Mac Users: Press and hold CMD + Shift + R for 5-10 seconds, then release all keys at once.
  • Windows Users: Press and hold Ctrl + Shift + R for 5-10 seconds, then release all keys at once.

If the waveform finishes loading and the issue is resolved, you’re all set. If not, proceed to the next option.

Option 2: Hard Refresh with Developer Tools

  1. Open Developer Tools:

    • Mac Users: Press CMD + Option + J
    • Windows Users: Press Ctrl + Shift + J
      This opens a panel on the side or bottom of your browser window.
  2. Perform Another Hard Refresh:

    • Mac Users: Press CMD + Shift + R (press and release quickly)
    • Windows Users: Press Ctrl + Shift + R (press and release quickly)

Check if the waveform now appears correctly. If the problem persists, move on to Option 3.

Option 3: Clear All Site Data

Warning: Clearing all site data will remove locally stored information and require you to log in again. Ensure you have synced any offline changes to the cloud first.

  1. Open Developer Tools (if not already open):

    • Mac Users: Press CMD + Option + J
    • Windows Users: Press Ctrl + Shift + J
  2. Access the “Application” Tab:

    • Look for the tabs along the top of the panel (Elements, Console, Sources, Network, etc.). If there’s a double arrow (»), click it to reveal more options.
    • Select “Application”.
  3. Clear Storage:

    • In the left-hand panel, choose “Clear storage”.
    • Click “Clear site data” to remove all cached data.
  4. Final Hard Refresh:

    • Mac Users: Press CMD + Shift + R (press and release)
    • Windows Users: Press Ctrl + Shift + R (press and release)

After this, COBRA Show Creator should reload with the latest version, resolving the “Creating Waveform” issue.
