How does an MJG initiator work?

When you connect the MJG initiator to a power source and complete a continuous circuit, the current will flow to the match head, which has a bridge wire coated in a pyrotechnic composition. The current will heat the bridge wire and cause the pyrotechnic composition to ignite, creating a burst of energy which then ignites the fuse or lift charge it is attached to.

See Ignite Right for more information on MJG initiators and Continuity Clarified to learn more about wiring circuits.
