When installing the 18R2 LiPo Upgrade Kit, it is critical that you only use the compatible battery and hardware version provided in your kit. Using any other battery, even if it appears similar, may cause permanent damage to the 18R2 Lipo kit or remote and will void your warranty.
Use Only the Battery Version Provided
The battery included in your 18R2 LiPo kit is matched specifically to the hardware in the kit. Do not reuse batteries from other systems or previous versions.
- The battery will include a version label (e.g., Battery Version B).
- The recharge adapter board will also include a version label that must match the battery version.
- Only install the battery that matches the hardware version indicated in your installation kit.
Consequences of Using an Incompatible Battery
Using the wrong battery version can result in the following:
- Electrical damage to the charging circuit
- Loss of warranty coverage
This applies not only to the 18R2 but to all COBRA products. For example, Audio Box LiPo batteries must never be used in the 18R2, and vice versa.
Need Help?
If you are unsure whether your battery and hardware are compatible, stop installation and contact COBRA Support before proceeding.
Always follow the version labeling included on your components. Do not attempt to substitute, modify, or reuse parts from other systems.
