Voltage Mode

The voltage mode is used by the module to determine what it's input voltage should be. For example, if the module is powered by the 14.8V COBRA LiPo battery, the voltage mode should be set to 14.8. You cannot change the voltage mode to change the cue voltage; instead, it's used by the module for determining it's 1P and 2P power levels for battery life reporting.

The 18M offers the following voltage modes:

Used for 9V batteries

Typically used for a 12V external battery, for example, a car/motorcycle SLA battery

Used for the COBRA LiPo battery or an external 14.8V LiPo battery

Typically used for an 18.5V external LiPo battery

Typically used for a 24V external battery, for example, a deep cycle marine/truck battery, or 2 x 12V batteries wired in series

Toggle the voltage mode by pressing TEST and CH+ or TEST and CH- until the desired voltage mode is assigned. Power the module off and back on. The module will retain the voltage mode selected even if the unit is powered off or the batteries are removed.
